With a great deal of experience across a wide range of industries, systems and technologies, Yick brings over 15 years management expertise to Opal. He specializes in hands-on coaching and management of development teams, database administrators, and network administrators. Most recently coming out of the highly-demanding environment of professional call centres serving multinational corporations, he brings all this talent to the Opal Health Informatics Group (O-HIG) as its Scrum Master.

Yick joined O-HIG back in 2017 as a back-end database developer, and worked his way up to a team lead in 2019. In 2020 he took on the management role as Scrum Master. As a key member of the O-HIG management team, for O-HIG and the Quebec SmartCare Consortium, he shares his experience and offers guidance and support to all team members, provides input into architecture designs, and coordinates with O-HIG management in setting development, testing and troubleshooting priorities.
